PARAPHRASE TELEGRAL.
From the Officer Administering the Government of Hong Kong to the Secretary of State for the Colonies. (Received Colonial Office 6.55 p.m.15th November, 1917).
A gift of one hundred thousand dollars to Tientsin Flood Relief is unanimously recommended by unofficial members of Councils. His Majesty's Minister at Pekin telegraphs contribution from this Government would be highly appreciated and would produce excellent political effects. Do you approve proposed gift?
